  1. Histological assessment at 12 weeks. The p-values shown correspond to comparisons with the control group. Quantitative analysis of empty lacunae (%) in the subchondral bone and the area surrounding the tunnel (n = 6) indicated significantly decreased empty lacunae in the exosome group at the surrounding tunnel. The Modified Mankin score was significantly higher in the exosome group. Analysis of the number of vessels with CD31-positive staining showed no significant difference between the groups
